A cow has been born with a deformed fifth ‘leg’ on its back – which actually belongs to the animal’s unborn twin.
The farmyard animal was born in Qinlong County in south west China and has hit headlines because of its extremely rare deformity.
Many have called the poor cow a ‘mutant’ but experts have pointed out that the growth actually belongs to the animal’s twin.
The deformity is caused by an incomplete egg separation and the probability of this kind of fifth limb is just 0.03%, according to People’s Daily, China.
